But I’m a Cheerleader:
Our Review: We loved this film, it was so hilarious and we bet a lot of parents wish their was a place like this for their lgbt kid to go!
Megan is a normal American girl who’s one of the best cheerleaders on the team, along with having the captain of the football team as the perfect boyfriend. But there are some very unnormal things about her, including the fact that she doesn’t like kissing her boyfriend, she has posters of girls in her locker and at home, and she likes listening to Melissa Ethridge. Does this mean that the normal Megan may, in fact, be… a lesbian?!?! Concerned, her parents and friends send her to True Directions, a gay-gone-straight camp led by the well-meaning, yet totally insane Mary and the “ex-gay” counselor Mike. As time passes before graduation, Megan start to come to terms with the fact that she’s a lesbian and that she’s in love with Graham, who stays totally open with her sexuality, even though her parents are ready to kill her if she comes home a lesbian.- IMBD

Training Rules
this documentary might just be one of the most powerful lesbian documentaries that we have ever come across. Training rules focuses on homophobia in sports.
The documentary talks about how lesbians that play high school or college basketball are told way to often that being an openly gay person is wrong for them, their team, or their careers. The story follows Jen and 5 other females who were victimized for being lesbians and playing sports. This happens way more often then we like to think, the wnba is clearly filled with lesbians but its still a sad debate on if all of those women should be openly gay. “A documentary about the infamously homophobic head coach of Penn State Women’s basketball, Rene Portland, and her witch hunts against student athletes she suspected to be gay, it’s a powerful, righteously angry production.”

Boys Don’t Cry
Boys don’t cry is one of those films that just every lgbt and alliance and homophobic, just everyone in the world should see, it can change the way you think. Based on actual events. Brandon Teena is the popular new guy in a tiny Nebraska town. He hangs out with the guys, drinking, cussing, and bumper surfing, and he charms the young women, who’ve never met a more sensitive and considerate young man. Life is good for Brandon, now that he’s one of the guys and dating hometown beauty Lana. However, he’s forgotten to mention one important detail. It’s not that he’s wanted in another town for GTA and other assorted crimes, but that Brandon Teena was actually born a woman named Teena Brandon. When his best friends make this discovery, Brandon’s life is ripped apart.-Imbd

Claude and Ellen are best friends who live in of New York. They are involved in the subculture of 90’s youth complete with live music, drugs and one is a lesbian. This film is something so many lesbians can relate too, its basically a “what happens if you fall in love with your best friend” but she’s not interested type of thing, the two friends go through ups and downs and. Its pretty corky and cool film to watch

If These Walls Could Talk
follows three stories about lesbians who lived in separate eras. Like the original If These Walls Could Talk [which was about abortion fyi], all three storylines take place in the same house. I would like to know what this house was built out of that caused all its owners to turn gay. This movie deals with issues like hospital visitation, inheritance, conflicts between feminism and lesbianism, butch/femme dynamics, and pregnancy. has been criticized for leaving you wanting more. Ranging from heartbreaking to enlightening, it ends on a lighthearted note with the couple from 2000, played by Sharon Stone & Ellen DeGeneres, dancing around their bathroom to “Everlasting Love,” which is so cute you forgive it for being corny.- Autostraddle Review
